Top Spot # 1: Millard Tydings Memorial Park & Promenade
It’s no surprise that the Havre de Grace Promenade is the most frequented place around town! A perfect place for a walk in the morning or evening – surrounded by wildlife and a picturesque waterfront view, visitors are drawn to the Promenade – the perfect scenic walking path between Millard Tydings Memorial Park and Concord Point Park.

Anyone who has visited the Promenade knows it has so much to offer, as does this second most-visited Havre de Grace park…
Top Spot # 2: Concord Point Park
At the north end of the Promenade rests another – and perhaps the most iconic – Havre de Grace park: Concord Point Park. Concord Point park is the site of many local events, as well as a great scenic spot to visit in Havre de Grace.
Concord Point Park is home of the world-famous Concord Point Lighthouse, built in 1827 and utilized until it was decommissioned in 1975 as the oldest Chesapeake light in continuous service.
Even on the off seasons, Concord Point Park is consistently in the top 3 top visited locations in Havre de Grace – averaging up to 15,000 visitors per month between August and January.
This Havre de Grace park has a special place in preserving Havre de Grace History, as one of the most identifying landmarks in our city – its lighthouse, the most photographed lighthouse in Maryland (out of 26 total lighthouses)!
