The Havre de Grace Arts Collective presents: A Women’s History Month Event: “Madam to You: Women’s Voices in American Poetry”

Join us for this very special community event in recognition of Women’s History Month!
A diverse group of nearly two dozen local women will perform poetry by female American poets, including Maya Angelou, Joy Harjo, Nikki Giovanni, Barbara Kingsolver, Chia-Lun Chang, Margaret Walker, Kari Gunter-Seymour, Mary Oliver, Ada Limon, and Gwendolyn Brooks, as well as several original poems. There will be performances of five of Langston Hughes’ “Madam poems” featuring the irrepressible Miss Alberta K. Johnson – Madam, to you.
