Roving Ranger at the Lock House Museum

August 7 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Susquehanna Museum at the Lock House
Free

The Lock House Museum is pleased to host a very special guest visiting Havre de Grace. The Chesapeake Gateways Roving Ranger is a mobile visitor contact station that brings National Park Service energy, storytelling, and discovery straight to the community!

Visitors can stop by the pop‑up Ranger station for informal, hands‑on opportunities to learn more about the Chesapeake Bay watershed and the incredible natural and cultural resources that make this region so special. Their team of seasonal park rangers and interpretation ambassadors will provide engaging activities, conversation, and a chance to explore a rotating selection of programs and materials.

Additionally, visitors can visit the historic house museum to step back in time and to learn about the history of the Susquehanna & Tidewater Canal and see how the lock tender lived while the canal was in operation.
