This two-day course satisfies the requirements for operating a vessel on Maryland waters. A Certificate of Boating Safety Education is issued by the Department of Natural Resources upon satisfactory completion. Instructors from the US Coast Guard Auxiliary will be teaching two interactive online sessions, to be followed by an online test taken at your convenience.
Attendance at both online sessions is required to pass. If you’ve never taken an online class before, we can arrange a short “practice session” beforehand to ensure that you are able to access the course without any problems.
Cost: $20.00 per student (FREE for First Responders, Active Military, Sea Scouts, and all medical/hospital employees with valid ID).
Note: If you have never done a live online class before, we will set up a short practice session to make sure you won’t have any problems. Use your computer, tablet, or smartphone to access the course. If you have any questions or concerns, please call or text the instructor, Abe Spergel at 443-504-3880 or email ais1234@gmail.com.
All proceeds will go towards the Havre de Grace Maritime Museum’s programming.
