Liberty Tree Dedication

Date: June 13
Time: 10:00 am

Join local leaders, historians, and community partners for the dedication of the Maryland Liberty Tree, honoring the enduring spirit of freedom that began during the American Revolution and continues to inspire our nation today.

As we commemorate America’s Semiquincentennial, we celebrate the powerful legacy of the Liberty Tree — a lasting symbol of American resistance, civic unity, and shared responsibility.

The Maryland Liberty Tree Project uses seedlings grown from the only surviving genetically identical Liberty Tree scion in the United States — descended from Annapolis’ original 1775 Liberty Tree — to preserve and share a living connection to our nation’s founding ideals while planting descendant Liberty Trees in every Maryland county and Baltimore City as part of the statewide commemoration of the 250th Anniversary of American Independence.
