2023 Havre de Grace Mardi Gras Parade
Our annual Mardi Gras Parade is by far the biggest attraction for Mardi Gras in Havre de Grace! For over 15 years, residents and visitors have enjoyed the tradition of celebrating Mardi Gras in the downtown area.
This year, the parade will be Tuesday, Feb 21 at 6:00pm, and will light up the city as it travels down Bourbon Street (of course!) to Washington Street and ends at the American Legion on St. John Street!
This is a family-friendly event, so bundle up and bring the kiddos. Beads, toys, chocolate coins, and more will be in abundance! Everyone is sure to go home happy.
Parade begins at 6:00 PM behind the STAR Centre on Bourbon Street and lasts about an hour. The grandstand with emcee will be positioned at Rochambeau Plaza next to Concord Point Coffee. Stop by and vote for your favorite float!

Stop by Havre de Grace’s Creole de Graw for some cajun fare! The dishes are delicious, and unlike Mardi Gras, is celebrated all year long! (Don’t forget to finish your meal off with some beignets, you won’t regret it!)

…. at a Ticketed Masquerade Event!
There will also be a Mardi Gras Masquerade on Market Street on Feb 21st from 5pm-8pm. During this ticketed event, guests will enjoy an endless creole buffet catered by Maison Intimate Catering (yum!) paired with Market Street Brewery’s high quality beer. Ticket includes ONE beer flight of selected beers that have been paired perfectly with the creole flavors!
Or if you’re looking for an entire evening of fun, you can support the local Arts with a “MasquerAid” Gala & fundraiser on February 18th to support the Havre de Grace Arts Collective for a spread of N’Orleans dishes, plus live music, wine/beer, giveaways and more (costumes highly encouraged)! Havre de Grace is known for its Arts & Entertainment, and there are plenty of events happening this month if you’re looking to see a show.
Rene Ibanez & The Cubano Groove will be performing live at a fundraiser for the Havre de Grace Arts Collective, Saturday February 18th. Their latin-jazz fusion is a perfect way to accompany the party!
Or head to the Moonshine Hafla – Mardi Gras Style February 24th to see belly dancers take the dance floor for a fabulous evening of entertainment with a jazzy twist at the State Theater.
