Havre de Grace is officially a Victory Town!

Of nearly 20,000 incorporated communities in America, fewer than 200—less than 1%—are recognized as Victory Towns. These communities witnessed the historic march of American and French forces toward Yorktown, where they achieved a decisive victory in the American Revolution.

In 1781, American and French troops passed through Havre de Grace on their march to Yorktown, including Rochambeau’s crossing of the Susquehanna River here on September 9.

Join us as we celebrate Havre de Grace’s remarkable Revolutionary heritage and its place on the March to Victory!

The ceremony also commemorates Lafayette’s birthday and Rochambeau’s historic crossing of the Susquehanna.

Come celebrate our place in the story of American independence!
