The Hosanna School Museum is celebrating Juneteenth with a concert and festival at its campus on Castleton Road. Juneteenth is a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates history, culture and achievement of African-Americans. A “Transition to Freedom” concert will take place at 4:30 p.m., with Rhema Praise performing. Music, dance, lectures, vendors, horse rides, a puppet show, crafts, buffalo soldier re-enactors, a genealogy workshop, book signings and other activities are planned. The Upper Bay Juneteenth Festival will be from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, at the Hosanna School Museum, 2424 Castleton Road, Darlington, MD 21034.
