The Opera House presents: One Dame Madcap Matinee

Professional Dame Edna Impersonator, Scott F. Mason returns to the Opera House for his first matinee show! Named by the real Dame Edna’s creator, Barry Humphries, as his “Honorary Understudy,” one never knows what to expect from his Dame’s multiple-award winning quick wit and hilarious observations. Get ready for a belly-busting good afternoon and make sure you come prepared! This Dame is ready to share a round of crazy zingers, double-entendre one-liners, and mischievous observations of the crowd. As she likes to say about her shows “it is a monologue interrupted by total strangers.” Every show with the Dame is a new fun time!

Scott F. Mason has been professionally impersonating Dame Edna for 20 years. He was chosen by Barry Humphries (the real Dame Edna) as her Honorary Understudy in 2010 Broadway contest sponsored by Playbill. He was is in the Sunburst Convention of Impersonator’s Hall of Fame as Funniest Male, and twice won Best Comedian in the Las Vegas Reel Awards. He also appears prominently in the award-winning short subject documentary, Just About Famous. He was a runner up in the 2022 Broadway Cabaret Awards as Best Impersonator after making his Dame debut in NYC.
