Environmental Center Open House

Discover the wonders of nature and experience science in action in the Environmental Center at the Havre de Grace Maritime Museum during an Open House event. Demonstrations of Chesapeake Bay stewardship activities will be conducted at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Exhibits on display throughout the day include:

– What is a watershed?
– Cloud Identification
– Decomposition
– Soil Runoff
– Soil Horizons
– Identifying Rock Types
– Animal Bones, Snake Skins, and Bird Feathers
– Life Cycles of Organisms
– Water Quality Biotic Indicators

This event is open to all ages and families are encouraged to attend together. Parents must accompany children. Free with price of admission to the Maritime Museum. No registration is required.
