2nd Annual Susquehanna Quick Draw: Plein Air Competition

The Havre de Grace Arts Collective and Steppingstone Farm Museum are pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Susquehanna Quick Draw Plein Air Painting Competition!

This new tradition will take place over the course of this year’s Rowdy Rooster Festival & Disc Golf Tournament at Steppingstone and will feature (3) options for participants:

PROFESSIONAL TRACK
$25 entry fee; $1,000 Grand Prize
70/30 split on any art created/sold during the event (70% to artist)

AMATEUR TRACK
$15 entry fee; $500 Grand Prize
For hobbyist painters of all ages
80/20 split on any art created/sold during the event (80% to artist)

YOUTH TRACK
$10 entry fee; $200 Grand Prize
For artists aged 16YRS and younger
90/10 split on any art created/sold during the event (90% to artist)

QUICK DRAW SCHEDULE
Please register and pay entry fee by the end of the day on May 14th. We will be unable to register or accept payment during the event.

Check-in times at Steppingstone Farm Museum:
Saturday, May 17th from 10:30 to 11:45 am
Saturday, May 17th from 3:30 pm to 4:14 pm
Sunday, May 18th from 9:15 am to 10:00 am

Painting Times: Saturday, May 17th from 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Sunday, May 18th from 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Judging Time:
Sunday, May 18th. All pieces must be moved and staged by 1:00 PM that day. Artists must supply their own easels for judging.
***Art sales and Judges’ review begins promptly at 1:00 PM on Sunday, May 18th***

GUIDELINES FOR ARTISTS
Bring your own materials, including easels, drop/dab cloths, water
All submissions must be complete and staged in the reception area by 1:00 PM on Sunday, May 18th in order to qualify for judging
Artists are responsible for transporting their in-progress work to/from Steppingstone throughout the weekend. No onsite storage locations available
Artists will have the option to sell work created during the Quick Draw competition at the winner’s circle reception Sunday, May 5th. Terms and conditions apply.
