The Luckiest Light
The Luckiest Light is a blue and yellow art studio and gallery in Havre de Grace, where inclusive art is provided to artists with and without disabilities. The building is blue and yellow on behalf of the owners’ daughter Nora who has Down syndrome. The Luckiest Light represents a community who proudly considers themselves to be “The Lucky Few.” The mission is to shine a light on artists who have been overlooked in the art world and in the community.
The Luckiest Light is a Non-Profit 501c3 that provides fully funded art programs with optional support from volunteer artists. A donation of choice is encouraged from nondisabled artists and all artists are welcome to show their work side by side.
The vibrant space empowers all artists and provides an experience that celebrates the unique talents, voices, and artistic expression of our diverse community. The motto of The Luckiest Light is, “Make Art. Be Kind,” in hopes that everyone who leaves or walks by the historical destination leaves with more grace and empathy for themselves and others.
