Join us in the Fire Hall @ the Opera House on Thursday, September 29th @ 6:00 pm for locally-sourced drinks and nibbles, door prizes, and to learn all about what the Green Team does for sustainability-certified Havre de Grace!
Kiss the Ground celebrates the “healing power of the soil.” The film offers a simple yet profound solution to the earth’s climate challenges: restoring our soils to their unique ability to sequester carbon through regenerative agriculture. Carbon biosequestration leads to “drawdown,” capturing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and storing the carbon in our soils. It’s happening right under our feet. It’s as old as dirt. The film is hopeful and inspiring.
The Green Team’s Environmental Film series is currently funded through a generous “Green Grant” from Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE). These films are one part of the Green Team’s community-based educational initiative, and we hope they will stimulate and nurture your understanding of environmental issues. We welcome your attendance and participation in post-screening discussions.
