If you’re looking for places to play pickleball in Harford County, Havre de Grace has a few courts that have caught the eye of pickleball fans, with plans in the works to add new courts in Spring 2023!
Outdoor Pickleball Courts in Havre de Grace
The first pickleball court in Havre de Grace was constructed in 2018 as an outdoor court adjacent to the city Marina and Millard Tydings Memorial Park. With a stunning waterfront view, surrounded by beautiful foliage, it’s easy to see why this is a popular pickleball spot!
The park is open until sunset, and can be accessed by Commerce Street between Freedom Lane and Union Ave. Street parking is typically available for anyone looking to catch a quick game!
Indoor Pickleball Courts in Havre de Grace
It’s no surprise that indoor recreational activities are often hard to find – that’s why this indoor pickleball court is truly a hidden gem in Havre de Grace – perfect for a rainy day or a winter game!
The indoor court opened in 2022 in the Havre de Grace STAR Centre, formerly the Havre de Grace High School Gymnasium located at 700 Congress Avenue. While the venue as a whole is mainly used to host large events like the recent Billy Joel Tribute performance or the Annual Oyster Feast, it also boasts basketball courts and a lesser-known designated pickleball gym!
This court is open daily, and can be accessed using the East Entrance to the venue, near the intersection Adams & Bourbon streets.
New Pickleball Courts Coming to Havre de Grace
Maryland pickleball lovers will be happy to know that Havre de Grace is in the process of adding three new outdoor pickleball courts in Havre de Grace near the Havre de Grace Community Center. The Community Center, located just off Rt. 155 at 100 Lagaret Lane is used as an event venue and its grounds are also home to the popular K9 Cody Dog Park.
The edge of the large paved lot near the community center will soon be home to three new pickleball courts!
