Wreaths Across America

As we enter into the holiday season it is also a time to remember those who fought to found our country and kept it safe and secure for the past 250 years.
The Wreaths Across America theme this year is “REMEMBER ME”.
Sourced from the Wreaths Across America: “The theme draws inspiration from an unexpected source: a line from the film “Home Alone 2.” The quote, “Maybe they don’t forget about you, but they forget to remember you,” underscores the importance of actively remembering the individuals who served, especially those whose stories risk being lost to time.”
Our local cemeteries, Angel Hill, St James and Mt Erin, are more than half way to providing wreaths needed to place on all the graves of our veterans resting in these cemeteries. We are in need of 337 more wreaths to place one at each veterans resting place.
Your generous donation of $17.00 provides a wreath for a veteran. You can donate on line here https://wreathsacrossamerica.org/MD0640 or send the donation to the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 47 at P O Box 762, Havre de Grace, MD 21078 and we will place the order for you.
We are also inviting you to share in the day we place the wreaths on the graves. That will be on December 19, 2026 with ceremonies at Angel Hill and Mt Erin cemeteries at 12 noon with the wrath laying at the conclusion. All are welcome!
