Theatrical Intimacy Training Workshop with Becky Mossing
January 6 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
FREE, but space is limited, so registration is required.
In today’s world, actors in a rehearsal process must be treated and also treat one another with care. No longer is it acceptable to touch without permission or approach intimate moments in a scene without thought to the people sharing those moments. It is vital to create a space where everyone feels there is consent. Theatrical Intimacy training offers five pillars for its trauma informed practice for actors/directors and other creatives: Context, Consent, Communication, Choreography and Closure. In this workshop, we will:
~ gain a basic understanding of the five pillars of Theatrical Intimacy Choreography
~ learn to use the universal tools and vocabulary in Intimacy work
~ have the opportunity to put this new learning into practice utilizing simple intimacy choreography
