AIKIDO is a traditional Japanese martial art that focuses on balance, energy redirection, and teamwork! Students will work with a qualified instructor to learn the essential fundamentals of Aikido, including how to engage with partners, take balance, and perform — and receive — techniques safely. Students should be capable of light workouts, but this practice can suit any athletic level! Students will work on basic strikes, joint-locks, and boxing techniques. The week’s work will culminate in a demonstration event during which students can show off their progress. Our goal is to foster a love for martial arts in young practitioners, helping them understand their responsibility, their strength, and their capacity for leadership.
