Join us as we meet Adrienne de Lafayette, wife of General Lafayette, a hero of our own American Revolution without whom we could not have won our independence. She will tell us about their life together, his achievements, and explain why he is considered the “Hero of Two Worlds”. Storyteller and first-person interpreter Alisa Dupuy will portray Adrienne. This event celebrates the bicentennial of Lafayette’s Farewell Tour of the United States in 1824-25. Lafayette’s visit as “Guest of the Nation” did much to keep America strong in a political environment that could have torn her apart.
