The Great Havre de Grace Chili Challenge

The wildly popular Chili Challenge will once again be a part of the Havre de Grace Ice Festival! The contest runs from 2:00 to 6:00 pm on Saturday, February 21, 2026.

Festival attendees can Festival attendees can only purchase a chili cook-off card online in advance. Simply bring your Eventbrite ticket (print-out or on your phone) to the Ice Festival Info Booth at 203 N. Washington Street to pick up your TASTER’S CARD. On that card are the names and addresses of the participating businesses with their logos. Card holders visit each location, sample their chili offering and have their card punched. After visiting and tasting, the card becomes a ballot. Circle the business that was your favorite and drop it in the box located back at the info booth. The business winning the challenge will be announced on Explore Havre de Grace and the Ice Festival Facebook page at the close of the festival. The winner will be presented their trophy at their establishment after voting is closed.
*Your TASTER’s CARD can be picked up at The Havre de Grace Visitor’s Center (address above) during regular business hours February 16 – 20 or on the day of the event.
