Maryland Dove visits Havre de Grace

June 24 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Frank J. Hutchins Memorial Park Dock

Maryland Dove will be visiting Havre de Grace as part of its Bay Tour around the Chesapeake Bay in 2023, thanks to a grant from the Maryland Heritage Areas Authority. **

The ship will arrive in Havre de Grace on the afternoon of Friday, June 23, and be open to the public on Saturday, June 24, and Sunday, June 25 from 10 a.m.—5 p.m. (both days). Docking will be at Frank J. Hutchins Memorial Park, 100 Congress Avenue, Havre de Grace, Maryland.

Maryland Dove sails as a steward of Historic St. Mary’s City and a representation of a cargo vessel that arrived, along with the passenger ship Ark, in 1634. After being built in partnership with the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum on Maryland’s eastern shore, the state-funded Maryland Dove was commissioned and delivered to Historic St. Mary’s City in August of 2022. When not traveling, it can be found docked in southern Tidewater Maryland at the living history museum.

Other stops on the Bay Tour will include Baltimore, Cambridge, and Crisfield.
